Sustainability Policy

Etm's sustainability policy consists on a set of commitments that guide the company's strategy, starting with the commitment to a sustainable development based on the simultaneous pursuit of economic prosperity, environmental responsibility and social equity.As such, the management declares that etm, as a knitwear dyeing/finishing company shall endeavor to:

  • Improve customer satisfaction by meeting requirements for products and services.
  • Motivating employees through their involvement in company projects and by clearly defining all their roles.
  • Collaboration with suppliers, promoting the improvement of products and services delivered to our company.
  • Continuously improve the effectiveness of the company's management system and meet all compliance obligations (legal and other requirements) in the areas of quality, environment, safety and social responsibility.
  • Establish and periodically review principles, objectives and targets, taking into account processes and significant impacts to ensure sustainable development and continuous improvement.
  • Protect the environment, including the prevention of pollution and the preservation of biodiversity.
  • Decrease the ecological footprint, reducing the consumption of water, energy, fuels, raw materials and chemical products by making an increasingly rational use.
  • Reduce the production of liquid and gaseous effluents by optimizing production processes.
  • Reduce the production of solid waste, through reuse, selection, and recycling, giving them more sustainable final destinations.
  • Raise awareness and continuously train employees, suppliers and partners to use the best environmental practices in their functions and comply with the applicable safety standards.
  • Eliminate or reduce the negative effects of the chemicals used.
  • Provide safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work-related injuries and health conditions.
  • Eliminate dangers and reduce the risks to h&s that may arise from the normal development of activities.
  • Foster an environment of well-being, continuously promoting the safety and health of our employees and of those who work with us or provide services, both at the physical and psychosocial level of the work.
  • Promote the consultation, participation, communication and involvement of employees and external service providers in matters of safety and health at work.
  • Ensure the availability of all essential resources to protect and promote safety and health in the work environment.
  • Implement good health practices and healthy lifestyles, with the goal of enhancing the health of employees.
  • Promote the company's involvement in the community in order to improve the health of employees, their families and other community members.
  • Etm does not use or admit the use of child labor, i.e., employees under the age of 16.
  • Etm does not use or condone the use of forced or compulsory labor, and does not engage in any form of coercion or document retention.
  • The company recognizes and respects the right of employees to freedom of association and representation, according to their freely expressed will and without pressure.
  • Etm censures any form or practice of discrimination in its partners and towards its employees on the basis of race, color, sex, social or ethnic origin, political affiliation or religion.
  • The company assures its employees that their dignity is respected and disapproves of any type of physical, sexual or psychological abuse or harassment.
  • Ensures the fulfillment of working hours and the remuneration of overtime in accordance with the applicable legislation, also encouraging and stimulating its suppliers to comply with the law in effect.
  • Recognizes that salary is essential to meet the basic needs of employees and ensures all legally established remuneration.
  • The company ensures that its employees are not subject to reprisals and that all matters are handled in accordance with confidentiality requirements.
